Meeting June '09 Minutes

June 8

Roll: Ron, Shimo, Daron, Bryant, Mikey
Excused: Colin, Rico

Account:  Balance is $290
A 7:50 pm a motion was made by Mike to nominate Ron as the new treasurer as Daron expressed a desire to step down.  We would like to extend a HUGE thank you to Daron for setting us up with our account and taking on the responsiblity of treasurer.  The motion was seconded and passed.

Jerseys:  Bryant is waiting for the manufacturers approval and the order will go in right after that.

87 Golf Tourney:  Thank you to Shimo for setting up our (3rd) annual golf tourney and congratulations to Ron and Shimo for winning it this year.

Vegas:  I've checked with Justin and he said that the packages for Vegas are running out.  There are about 30 left.  We've discovered an issue with the link and the best way to book a package is to call John Defreitas at Panda. (738-3573) and let him know it's for Damien 87 and we will still get the commission for it.

The meeting was adjourned at 8:20.

Next meeting will be July 20th at Rico's

Damien 87 Annual Golf Tourney Wrap-up
Written by Alton Shimomura

Sup gentlemen,

As usuall, we had a blast at our annual golf tournament. Thanks to Ron Amasol for opening up his home for the 19th hole festivities. Attending today were Kimo Acopan, Ron Amasol, Mike DeSmet, Reggie "Sebastian" Maldonado, Daron Matsumura, Danilo Nicholas, Dane Noguchi, Rico Obrero, Dio Pilar, Lionel Ramos, Daniel Rosado, and me, Alton.

The scores were Alton-80, Lionel-85, Daron-92, Dio-93, Mike-99, Kimo-99, Rico-100, Rosie-101, Dane-109, Danilo-109, Ron-119, and last but not least, Sebastian-119. So the best score gets paired with the worst score, with the 18th hole being the tie breaker. Since Ron had a 7 and Reggie had a 6 on 18, Ron gets paired with me.

The pairings were me/Ron-119, Lionel/Sebastian-204, Daron/Danilo-201, Dio/Dane-202, Mike/Rosie-200, and Kimo/Rico-199. Because me & Ron scored an 11 and Kimo & Rico scored a 12 on 18, me & Ron are the winners and earn the bragging rights for one year.

Aloha and see you all next year.

Shimo
